ZJU-CSE SUMMER SCHOOL on Networked Autonomous Systems (Aug 22-Sep 02, 2022) is coming up!
Apr. 2020: I gave a talk (in Chinese) on “When do distributed optimization algorithms meet centralized counterparts and beyond”, Online.
In this talk, I introduce two new kinds of distributed optimization algorithms (i.e., distributed gradient-tracking methods and primal-dual methods) we recently developed that can converge much fast than other existing ones, and show their close connections; After that, I also show how these proposed algorithms can be unified in a proper way and that under what conditions they will have comparable performance with centralized counterparts. Click the video link for more details; Slides.
